Our Mission: Our mission is summed up in one phrase: "to become the world's premier boxing brand". Red Corner Apparel is committed to providing the highest quality boxing apparel, with cutting edge and original designs in an industry that often lacks innovation and inspiration. We want to give boxing fans worldwide the chance to proudly support their champions and their sport with fashionable products that they can wear from ringside to street. It's time for a change, so we ask you this: "What Corner are You In?"
Who We Are: Red Corner Apparel was started in 2007 in Montreal, Canada. Our team now spans across 2 continents and three countries, with warehouses in the US and the UK. We were also lucky to add our online marketing manager, Ruben Diaz to the Red Corner Team working out of our new West Coast office in California in June 2009. After signing our first contract with then former Welterweight World Champion Antonio Margarito in early 2008, the Tijuana Tornado went on to capture the title in a thrilling fight with Miguel Cotto in July of the same year. Shortly thereafter, we signed our second major player, Super Middleweight contender Carl the Cobra Froch and launched our very successful Antonio Margarito World Champion Collection within the same month. December 2008 saw Carl Froch capture the WBC Super Middleweight title, sending him well on his way to superstardom. We were able to do our first World Title merchandising event with our Official booth at the Nottingham Arena. It was great end to the year for Red Corner and of course the Cobra too! 2009 did not start off quite so well. Antonio Margarito's career came to a crashing halt as he simultaneously suffered his first first Knock Out at the hands of Sugar Shane Mosley, and was caught with a questionable substance in his handwraps on the same night. After the initial tests were done on the substance and the subsequent verdict was handed from the California State Athletic Commission, we felt that our work with Team Margarito would have to be put on hold as well. As huge boxing fans and passionate supporters of the many virtues of our sport, we felt that we had to stand by the ruling and as such discontinued any future Antonio Margarito lines at the present time. Thankfully, our new flagship fighter for the brand won an incredible, FOTY candidate in April against Jermaine Taylor, knocking him out with only seconds left in the 12th and final round on US soil. His place as an elite level fighter was cemented with that fight, and the future should hold many more exciting defenses of his belt. Now, we look forward to our new launch of our first of many Red Corner Apparel Collection lines with our 10 Point Must collection for summer 2009. We know that all you true boxing fans will love the designs and will be excited about the percentage of proceeds going to Boxing-Related charities such as the Otis Grant Foundation. We are also looking to launch several new signature lines with some great fighters, as well as continuing our partnership with Hennessy Sports as we work with some of their present and future champions. Thanks to all the fans who have supported us so far and and all our clients, past, present and future! Be sure to check us out on Facebook, MySpace, Youtube, and follow us on Twitter too for news on special offers and events. Most of all, continue to support your sport, support your fighters, support your passion, support boxing.
